DECISION
The unanimous decision of the tribunal is that:-
(i) the respondent do pay to the claimant the sum of £503.86 in respect of unauthorised deductions from his wages; and
(ii) he do pay to the claimant the sum of £222.80 in respect of unpaid holiday pay.

1. Notice of Hearing was effected on the respondent by way of substituted service. An Order for Substituted Service was made on 2 July 2010, and published in the Belfast Telegraph newspaper on 9 July 2010.
2(i) We are satisfied from the evidence of the claimant that he is entitled to the sum of £503.86 in respect of unpaid wages, and the sum of £222.80 in respect of unpaid holiday pay, and order that the respondent do pay the said sums to the claimant.
(ii) The claimant had previously supplied details of these claims in writing to the respondent, and they were never disputed. In fact, the respondent sent the claimant a cheque for £135.96 in part-payment. This cheque ‘bounced’.
3. This is a relevant decision for the purposes of the Industrial Tribunals (Interest) Order (Northern Ireland) 1990.
