1. The claimant did not appear for the hearing of his claim for a redundancy payment. He did not contact the tribunal before the hearing and the tribunal clerk was unable to contact him on either of the telephone numbers on his claim form.
2. Rule 27(5) of the Industrial Tribunal (Constitution and Rules of Procedure) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2005 provides that a tribunal may dismiss or dispose of proceedings in the absence of a party but before doing so, Rule 27(6) requires the tribunal to consider any information in its possession.
3. Having considered the material provided, I dismissed the proceedings as there were deficiencies in the information provided which prevented me disposing of the claim.
