1. In these proceedings, the claimant makes a claim for redundancy payment. The respondent in his response indicated that he did not resist the claim. He indicated that he is unable to pay the redundancy.
The Outcome
2. I am satisfied that the claimant is entitled to a redundancy payment.
Facts

The claimant worked for the respondent from 20 November 2002 until 16 January 2009 as a Manager. He was made redundant on the latter date. He therefore had six years’ completed service. |

He was aged 61 at the time of dismissal. |
|
|
|
|
(iii) |
His gross pay was £228.75 per week. |
|
|
|
|
(iv) |
The appropriate multiplier for calculating this redundancy payment is 9. |
|

(v) |
His entitlement is therefore £228.75 x 9 = £2,058.75. |
