2774/10
1827/11
CLAIMANT: Thomas McCann MBE
RESPONDENT: Extern Organisation Limited
DECISION ON QUANTUM
1. The unanimous decision of the Tribunal is that:-
By written consent of the parties, the Tribunal awards compensation to the claimant in the sum of £79,600.00.
2. The Tribunal issued a decision on 14 June 2012 on liability. The Tribunal recorded that a further hearing on quantum would be arranged in due course. Subsequent to that decision the parties have agreed, in open correspondence, that, by consent the Tribunal should award the claimant the sum of £68,400.00, being the statutory maximum allowable as compensation for unfair dismissal at the relevant date of dismissal. The Tribunal accordingly awards the claimant £68,400.00 as compensatory award together with the basic award of £11,200.00, making a total award of £79,600.00.
3. This is a relevant decision for the purposes of the Industrial Tribunals (Interest) Order (Northern Ireland) 1990.
