In re Shinorvic Trust v 2012 (1) JLR 324 (20 April 2012)
Trusts-beneficiaries-power to add beneficiaries-defective exercise of power-equity will assist if (a) intention to exercise power; (b) attempt to do so; (c) defect formal not substantive; (d) would be proper exercise of power; and (e) person in whose favour donee attempted to exercise power falls within relevant category, includes persons for whom donee has natural or moral obligation to provide-applied to cure settlor's defective appointment as beneficiary of his lifetime partner, as had close relationship and supported her financially during lifetime
