Trusts-powers and duties of trustees-exercise of discretion-investment decision may be invalidated under Hastings-Bass principle if would not have been made if trustee had not ignored relevant or considered irrelevant matter, e.g. recent change to UK capital gains tax law-fault or breach of duty by trustee/adviser not required-if trustee given incorrect legal advice, action under Hastings-Bass preferable to negligence action between trustee, beneficiaries and advisers
