I, Stephen Donnelly, Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by
sections 5
, 31A and 31C (inserted by
section 4
of the
Health (Amendment) Act 2020
(No. 19 of 2020)) of the
Health Act 1947
(No. 28 of 1947) and -
|
| |
(a) having regard to the immediate, exceptional and manifest risk posed to human life and public health by the spread of Covid-19, and to the matters specified in section 31A(2) of that Act,
|
| |
(b) having regard also to the matters specified in section 31A(6C)(b) of that Act, and
|
| |
(c) having consulted with the Minister for Justice,
|
| |
hereby make the following regulations:
|
| |
1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Health Act 1947 (Fixed Payment Notice and Dwelling Event Provisions) (Covid-19) (Amendment) (No. 3) Regulations 2021.
|
| |
(2) These Regulations shall come into operation on the 12th day of April 2021.
|
| |
2. The
Health Act 1947
(Fixed Payment Notice and Dwelling Event Provisions) (Covid-19) Regulations 2020 (
S.I. No. 536 of 2020
) are amended, in Schedule 1, by the substitution of the following paragraph for paragraph 10:

These Regulations amend the
Health Act 1947
(Fixed Payment Notice and Dwelling Event Provisions) (Covid-19) Regulations 2020 (
S.I. No. 536 of 2020
) to provide for an increase in the fine amount for travel to a port or airport for the purposes of leaving the State without reasonable excuse from €500 to €2,000 from 12 April 2021.
