I, SHANE ROSS, Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by
section 91
of the
Harbours Act 1996
(No. 11 of 1996) (as amended by
section 49
of the
Harbours Act 2015
(No. 61 of 2015)) and the Maritime Transport, Safety and Security (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order 2005 (
S.I. No. 842 of 2005
) (as adapted by the Transport (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2011 (
S.I. No. 141 of 2011
)), and having consulted with Wexford County Council and having had regard to the matters specified in
section 91
(3), hereby order as follows:
1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Harbours Act 1996 (Limits of Wexford Harbour) Order 2019.
(2) This Order shall come into operation on 1st day of January 2020.
2. The limits of Wexford Harbour, being a harbour under the control or management of the council of the county of Wexford, are defined as the following two limits:
(a) the seaward limit consisting of an imaginary line drawn from Raven Point to Rosslare Point;
(b) the inland limit being at the southern side of the Old Bridge on the River Slaney in Enniscorthy Town.
