I, ALAN KELLY, Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 50 of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2014 (No. 21 of 2014), hereby make the following regulations: |

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Housing Assistance Payment (Section 50) (No. 2) Regulations 2014. |
||
2. (1) Part 4 of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2014 (No. 21 of 2014) shall be applied from 1 October 2014 by each housing authority referred to in paragraph (2) in respect of all classes of qualified household. |
||
(2) The housing authorities for the purposes of paragraph (1) are- |
||
(a) Kilkenny County Council, |
||
(b) Louth County Council, |
||
(c) Monaghan County Council, and |
||
(d) South Dublin County Council. |

For the purpose of facilitating the phased introduction of the new housing assistance payment scheme under the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2014 (No. 21 of 2014), these Regulations provide that Part 4 of the Act will be applied from 1 October 2014 by Kilkenny County Council, Louth County Council, Monaghan County Council and South Dublin County Council in respect of all classes of qualified household. Under the Housing Assistance Payment (Section 50) Regulations 2014 ( S.I. No. 406 of 2014 ), Part 4 of the 2014 Act is being applied from 15 September 2014 by Cork County Council, Limerick City and County Council and Waterford City and County Council in respect of all classes of qualified household. |
