The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 6 (1) of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) Act 1939 (No. 36 of 1939), hereby order as follows: |
||
1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2010. |
||
(2) This Order comes into operation on 2 June 2010. |
||
2. The name of the Department of State, the present name of which is, in the Irish language, an Roinn Gnóthaí Pobail, Tuaithe agus Gaeltachta and, in the English language, the Department of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, is altered, in the Irish language, to that of an Roinn Gnóthaí Pobail, Comhionannais agus Gaeltachta and, in the English language, to that of the Department of Community, Equality and Gaeltacht Affairs. |
||
3. The title of the Minister having charge of the Department of State, whose present title is, in the Irish language, an tAire Gnóthaí Pobail, Tuaithe agus Gaeltachta and, in the English language, the Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, is altered, in the Irish language, to that of an tAire Gnóthaí Pobail, Comhionannais agus Gaeltachta and, in the English language, to that of the Minister for Community, Equality and Gaeltacht Affairs. |

4. In any enactment or any instrument made under an enactment- |
||
(a) references to the Department of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs shall be construed as references to the Department of Community, Equality and Gaeltacht Affairs, and |
||
(b) references to the Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs shall be construed as references to the Minister for Community, Equality and Gaeltacht Affairs. |
||
