I, BRIAN LENIHAN, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powersconferred on me by Section 4(1) of the Superannuation and Pensions Act, 1963 (No. 24 of 1963), hereby make the following Regulations: |
||
1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Superannuation (Designation of Approved Organisations) (No. 2) Regulations 2008. |
||
(2) The collective citation “the Superannuation (Designation of Approved Organisations) Regulations, 1964 to 2008” shall include these Regulations. |
||
2. The organisations specified in the Schedule to these Regulations are hereby designated as approved organisations for the purposes of Section 4 of the Superannuation and Pensions Act, 1963 (No. 24 of 1963). |

Section 4 of the Superannuation and Pensions Act 1963 provides for the transfer of pensionable service in the case of staff transfers between the Civil Service and “approved organisations”, and between one “approved organisation” and another. These regulations designate the organisations set out in the schedule as “approved organisations”. |
