I, Micheál Martin, Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 2 of the Employees (Provision of Information and Consultation) Act 2006 (No. 9 of 2006), hereby make the following regulations: 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Employees (Provision of Information and Consultation) Act 2006 (Prescribed Dates) Regulations 2006. 2. The 4th day of September 2006 is prescribed for the purposes of sections 4(1)(a) and 9(1)(a) of the Employees (Provision of Information and Consultation) Act 2006 (No. 9 of 2006). |

The Regulations prescribe the 4 September 2006 as the date from which, under section 4(1)(a), the Employees (Provision of Information and Consultation) Act 2006 will apply to undertakings with at least 150 employees. They also prescribe, for the purposes of section 9(1)(a), the 4 September 2006 as the date on or before which such undertakings must put in place pre-existing agreements, if they wish to avail of this option. |
