PENSIONS (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2002, (SECTIONS 121(3), (4), (5) AND (6)) (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 2003 |

The Minister for Social and Family Affairs, in exercise of the powers conferred on her by section 1 of the Pensions (Amendment) Act, 2002 ( No. 18 of 2002 ), hereby orders as follows: |

Citation. |
1. This Order may be cited as the Pensions (Amendment) Act, 2002 (Sections 121(3), (4), (5) and (6)) (Commencement) Order, 2003. |

Commencement. |
2. The 14th day of February 2003 is hereby appointed as the day on which Sections 121(3), (4), (5) and (6) shall come into operation. |

This order provides for the commencement of sections 121(3), (4), (5) and (6) of the Pensions Act, 1990 as inserted by the Pensions (Amendment) Act, 2002 as follows: |

This Order provides that those sections 121(3) to (6) come into operation on 14th February, 2003. Those sections require employers to remit contributions in respect of PRSAs to the relevant custodian account of the PRSA provider within a specified time limit and to provide statements to employees at least once a month showing the amount remitted on the his or her behalf. |
