SHANGANAGH CASTLE (PLACE OF DETENTION) (CLOSURE) ORDER, 2002

I, Michael McDowell, Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 2(1) of No. 51 of 1933 ), hereby order as follows:

1.        This order may be cited as the Shanganagh Castle (Place of Detention) (Closure) Order, 2002

2.         No. 38 of 1937 ) shall apply to this order.

3.        It is directed that Shanganagh Castle situated in the administrative county of Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown, being a place provided under section 2 of the Prisons Act 1970 ( No. 11 of 1970 ), shall be closed on and from 20 December, 2002.
