EQUAL STATUS ACT, 2000 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 2000.

I, JOHN O'DONOGHUE, Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 48 of the Equal Status Act, 2000 ( No. 8 of 2000 ), order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Equal Status Act, 2000 (Commencement) Order, 2000.

2. The 25th day of October, 2000, is fixed as the day on which the Equal Status Act, 2000 , shall come into operation.
