HARBOURS ACT, 1996 (INITIAL ORGANISATION OF PILOTAGE SERVICES) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1998

HARBOURS ACT, 1996 (INITIAL ORGANISATION OF PILOTAGE SERVICES) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1998

I, Michael Woods, Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 (5) of the Harbours Act, 1996 (No. 11 of 1996), as adapted by the Marine (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1997 ( S.I. No. 301 of 1997 ), hereby make the following regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Harbours Act, 1996 (initial Organisation of Pilotage Services) (Amendment) Regulations, 1998.

2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 27 th day of July, 1998.

3. Regulation 3(2) of the Harbours Act, 1996 (initial Organisation of Pilotage Services) Regulations, 1997 ( S.I. No. 325 of 1997 ), is hereby amended by the substitution of "24 months" for "12 months".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These Regulations make provisions in relation to the initial organisation of pilotage services by companies to which the Harbours Act, 1996 (Commencement) (No. 3) Order, 1997 applies.
