S.I. No. 94/1996:

SOCIAL WELFARE (NO. 2) ACT, 1995 (SECTION 10(3)) (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1996

SOCIAL WELFARE (NO. 2) ACT, 1995 (SECTION 10(3)) (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1996

The Minister for Social Welfare in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 12 of the Social Welfare (No. 2) Act, 1995 (No. 23 of 1995), hereby orders as follows:

Citation.

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Social Welfare (No. 2) Act, 1995 (Section 10(3)) (Commencement) Order, 1996.

Commencement.

2. Section 10 (3) of the Social Welfare (No. 2) Act, 1995 shall come into operation on the 5th day of April, 1996.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order brings section 10 (3) of the Social Welfare (No. 2) Act, 1995 , which provides for regulatory powers for determining the circumstances in which a person is or is not to be regarded as wholly or mainly maintaining another person, into operation with effect from the 5th day of April, 1996.
