STATISTICS (DELEGATION OF MINISTERIAL FUNCTIONS) (NO. 2) ORDER, 1995.

STATISTICS (DELEGATION OF MINISTERIAL FUNCTIONS) (NO. 2) ORDER, 1995.

The Government, on the request of the Taoiseach and in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 2 (1) of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) (No. 2) Act, 1977 (No. 28 of 1977), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Statistics (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) (No. 2) Order, 1995.

2. The powers and duties of the Taoiseach conferred on him by or under--

( a ) the Statistics Act, 1993 (No. 21 of 1993), and

( b ) the Civil Service Regulation Acts, 1956 and 1958, and the Civil Service Commissioners Act, 1956 (No. 45 of 1956), in so far as those Acts relate to the Central Statistics Office.

are hereby delegated to Jim Higgins, Minister of State at the Department of the Taoiseach.
