S.I. No. 87/1993:

REGISTRATION OF BIRTHS AND DEATHS (IRELAND) ACT, 1863 (SECTIONS 17 AND 18) (MONAGHAN) ORDER, 1993.

REGISTRATION OF BIRTHS AND DEATHS (IRELAND) ACT, 1863 (SECTIONS 17 AND 18) (MONAGHAN) ORDER, 1993.

An tArd-Chláraitheoir, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Sections 17 and 18 of the Registration of Births and Deaths (Ireland) Act, 1863, hereby orders as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Registration of Births and Deaths (Ireland) Act, 1863 (Sections 17 and 18) (Monaghan) Order, 1993.

2. The existing Superintendent Registrars' Districts of Castleblayney, Clones and Monaghan shall be amalgamated and shall together form one Superintendent Registrar's District to be known as the Superintendent Registrar's District of Monaghan.

3. The existing Registrars' Districts of Ballybay, Castleblayney, Castleshane, Clones, Dawson Grove, Emyvale, Kilmore, Monaghan and Scotstown shall be amalgamated and shall together form one Registrar's District to be known as the Registrar's District of Monaghan.

4. This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of April, 1993.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to amalgamate certain Superintendent Registrars' Districts and Registrars' Districts in the County of Monaghan so as to reduce the number of such districts in that county.
