HEALTH (DELEGATION OF MINISTERIAL FUNCTIONS) ORDER, 1991.

HEALTH (DELEGATION OF MINISTERIAL FUNCTIONS) ORDER, 1991.

The Government, on the request of the Minister for Health and in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 2 (1) of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) (No. 2) Act, 1977 (No. 28 of 1977), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Health (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order, 1991.

2. The powers and duties of the Minister for Health conferred on him by or under the enactments specified in the Schedule to this Order are hereby delegated to Chris Flood, Minister of State at the Department of Health.

SCHEDULE

Sale of Food and Drugs Acts, 1875 to 1936.

Cruelty to Animals Act, 1876.

Poisons and Pharmacy Act, 1908.

Rats and Mice (Destruction) Act, 1919.

Pharmacopoeia Acts, 1931 and 1977.

Therapeutic Substances Act, 1932 .

Milk and Dairies Acts, 1935 to 1988.

Parts V and VI of the Health Act, 1947 and section 5 of that Act insofar as it relates to those Parts.

Poisons Acts, 1961 and 1977.

Misuse of Drugs Acts, 1977 and 1984.

Section 59 of the Health Act, 1953 .

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to delegate the powers and duties referred to therein of the Minister for Health to Chris Flood, Minister of State at the Department of Health.
