S.I. No. 268/1989:

AIR-RAID PRECAUTIONS (DELEGATION OF MINISTERIAL FUNCTIONS) ORDER, 1989.

AIR-RAID PRECAUTIONS (DELEGATION OF MINISTERIAL FUNCTIONS) ORDER, 1989.

The Government, on the request of the Minister for Defence and in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 2 (1) of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) (No. 2) Act, 1977 (No. 28 of 1977), hereby order as follows:--

1. This Order may be cited as the Air-raid Precautions (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order, 1989.

2. All the powers and duties of the Minister for Defence under the Air-raid Precautions Acts, 1939 to 1946, are hereby delegated to Vincent Brady, Minister of State at the Department of Defence.

GIVEN under my Official Seal of the Government, this 12th day of September, 1989.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The powers and duties of the Minister for Defence in relation to Civil Defence matters are delegated by this Order to the Minister of State at the Department of Defence.
