S.I. No. 171/1989:

SUPERANNUATION (DESIGNATION OF APPROVED ORGANISATIONS) REGULATIONS, 1989.

SUPERANNUATION (DESIGNATION OF APPROVED ORGANISATIONS) REGULATIONS, 1989.

I, ALBERT REYNOLDS, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 4 (1) of the Superannuation and Pensions Act, 1963 (No. 24 of the 1963), hereby make the following Regulations:

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Superannuation (Designation of Approved Organisations) Regulations, 1989.

(2) The Superannuation (Designation of Approved Organisations) Regulations, 1964 to 1988, and these Regulations may be cited together as the Superannuation (Designation of Approved Organisations) Regulations, 1964 to 1989.

2. The organisation specified in the Schedule to these Regulations is hereby designated as an approved organisation for the purposes of section 4 of the Superannuation and Pensions Act, 1963 (No. 24 of 1963).

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

Section 4 of the Superannuation and Pensions Act, 1963 , provides for the transfer of pensionable service in the case of staff transfers between the Civil Service and "approved organisations" and between one "approved organisation" and another. These regulations designate the organisation set out in the schedule as an "approved organisation".
