S.I. No. 357/1986:

DUBLIN TRANSPORT AUTHORITY ACT, 1986 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1986.

DUBLIN TRANSPORT AUTHORITY ACT, 1986 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1986.

I, JIM MITCHELL, Minister for Communications, in exercise of the power conferred on me by section 3 of the Dublin Transport Authority Act, 1986 (No. 15 of 1986), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Dublin Transport Authority Act, 1986 (Commencement) Order, 1986.

2. The 7th day of November, 1986, is hereby appointed to be the day on which section 4 of the Dublin Transport Authority Act, 1986 , shall come into operation.

3. The 12th day of November, 1986, is hereby appointed to be the day on which the Dublin Transport Authority Act, 1986 , other than sections 4, 9, 15, 29 to 31 and 36, shall come into operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order appoints 7th November, 1986 as the commencement date for section 4 of the Dublin Transport Authority Act, 1986 (No. 15 of 1986), under which an Order will be made by the Minister for Communications to appoint 12th November, 1986 as the date for the establishment of the Dublin Transport Authority, and appoints 12th November, 1986 as the commencement date for the remainder of that Act except sections 9, 15, 29 to 31 and 36. Further commencement Orders will be required in due course to bring those sections into operation.
