S.I. No. 118/1985:

PRISONS ACT, 1970 (SECTION 7) ORDER, 1985.

PRISONS ACT, 1970 (SECTION 7) ORDER, 1985.

I, MICHAEL NOONAN, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 7 (l) of the Prisons Act, 1970 (No. 11 of 1970), and after consultation with the Visiting Committee to Saint Patrick's Institution, hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Prisons Act, 1970 (Section 7) Order, 1985.

2. In this Order "the section" means section 7 of the Prisons Act, 1970 (No. 11 of 1970).

3. (1) The section shall come into operation on the 26th day of April, 1985.

(2) The section shall be in operation for the period of six months commencing on the 26th day of April, 1985, and shall cease to be in operation upon the expiration of that period.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order brings section 7 of the Prisons Act 1970 into operation for a period of six months.
