I, CONOR CRUISE O'BRIEN, Minister for Posts and Telegraphs, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act, 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), and for the purpose of giving effect to Council Directive No. 75/322/EEC of 20th May, 1975,1 hereby make the following Regulations: |

1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Radio Interference from Tractor Ignition Systems) Regulations, 1976. |
||
2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 20th day of November, 1976. |
||
3. The Wireless Telegraphy (Control of Interference from Ignition Apparatus) Regulations, 1963 ( S.I. No. 223 of 1963 ), shall not apply in relation to an agricultural or forestry tractor (within the meaning of Council Directive No. 75/322/EEC of 20th May, 1975) that complies with the requirements of that Directive. |

EXPLANATORY NOTE. |

These Regulations exempt vehicles which comply with the provisions of the EEC Council Directive (75/322 EEC of 20th May, 1975) from the requirements of the Wireless Telegraphy (Control of Interference from Ignition Apparatus) Regulations, 1963. |
