HEALTH SERVICES (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1975. |

The Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 5 of the Health Act, 1947 (No. 28 of 1947) and sections 59 and 72 of the Health Act, 1970 (No. 1 of 1970), hereby makes the following Regulations:-- |

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Health Services (Amendment) Regulations, 1975. |
||
2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st April, 1975. |
||
3. The list of diseases and disabilities prescribed under article 8 of the Health Services (Amendment) Regulations, 1971, is hereby amended to include Parkinsonism, acute leukaemia, muscular dystrophies and multiple sclerosis. |
||

EXPLANATORY NOTE. |
||
These Regulations extend the prescribed list of diseases and disabilities in respect of which drugs, medicines and medical and surgical appliances are provided free irrespective of income. |
