S.I. No. 166/1974:

LOCAL GOVERNMENT (CHANGE OF NAME OF NON-MUNICIPAL TOWN) ORDER, 1974.

LOCAL GOVERNMENT (CHANGE OF NAME OF NON-MUNICIPAL TOWN) ORDER, 1974.

WHEREAS an application has been duly made to the Government under section 77 of the Local Government Act, 1946 (No. 24 of 1946), to make an order under that section changing the name of the non-municipal town specified in the Schedule to this Order:

NOW, the Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by the said section 77 of the said Local Government Act, 1946 , hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Local Government (Change of Name of Non-Municipal Town) Order, 1974.

2. The name of the non-municipal town specified in the Schedule to this Order is hereby changed to Edgeworthstown.

SCHEDULE.

The non-municipal town of Mostrim in the townland of Edgeworthstown, district electoral division of Meathas Truim and administrative county of Longford.

GIVEN under the Official Seal of the Government, this 31st day of

May, 1974.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order changes the name of the non-municipal town of Mostrim in County Longford to Edgeworthstown.
