EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES (RADIO INTERFERENCE FROM VEHICLE IGNITION SYSTEMS) REGULATIONS, 1973. |

I, CONOR CRUISE O'BRIEN, Minister for Posts and Telegraphs, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act, 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), hereby make the following regulations: |
||
1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Radio Interference from Vehicle Ignition Systems) Regulations, 1973. |
||
2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 23rd day of December, 1973. |
||
3. The Wireless Telegraph (Control of Interference from Ignition Apparatus) Regulations, 1963 ( S.I. No. 223 of 1963 ), shall not apply in relation to a vehicle (within the meaning of Council Directive 72/245/EEC1 of 20 June, 1972) that complies with the requirements of that Directive. |

EXPLANATORY NOTE |
||
The Regulations exempt vehicles which comply with the provisions of the EEC Council Directive (72/245 EEC of 20 June, 1972) from the requirements of the Wireless Telegraphy (Control of Interference from Ignition Apparatus) Regulations, 1963. |
