VALUE-ADDED TAX (REDUCTION OF RATE) (NO. 3) ORDER, 1973.

VALUE-ADDED TAX (REDUCTION OF RATE) (NO. 3) ORDER, 1973.

I, RICHIE RYAN, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 11 (8) of the Value-Added Tax Act, 1972 (No. 22 of 1972), hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Value-Added Tax (Reduction of Rate) (No. 3) Order, 1973.

(2) This Order shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 1st day of November, 1972.

2. The rate of tax chargeable in relation to the rendering of services of the kind specified in the Schedule to this Order is hereby reduced from 16·37 per cent. or from 5·26 per cent., as the case may be, to zero per cent.

SCHEDULE.

Life saving services provided by the Royal National Lifeboat Institution including the organisation and maintenance of the lifeboat service.

GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 22nd day of March, 1973.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order applies the zero rate to the lifeboat and allied life-saving services carried on by the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.

The Order has effect from 1st November last.
