S.I. No. 105/1972:

SCHOOL ATTENDANCE ACT, 1926 (EXTENSION OF APPLICATION) ORDER, 1972.

SCHOOL ATTENDANCE ACT, 1926 (EXTENSION OF APPLICATION) ORDER, 1972.

I, PÁDRAIG Ó FACHTNA, Minister for Education, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 24 (1) of the School Attendance Act, 1926 (No. 17 of 1926), hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the School Attendance Act, 1926 (Extension of Application) Order, 1972.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of July, 1972.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. The provisions of the School Attendance Act, 1926 (No. 17 of 1926), shall extend to children who have attained the age of fourteen years and have not attained the age of fifteen years.
