IMPOSITION OF DUTIES (IRON AND STEEL PRODUCTS) ORDER, 1971.

IMPOSITION OF DUTIES (IRON AND STEEL PRODUCTS) ORDER, 1971.

I, SEOIRSE Ó COLLA, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the Imposition of Duties Act, 1957 (No. 7 of 1957), and section 22 of the Finance Act, 1962 (No. 15 of 1962), and with the consent of the Minister for Industry and Commerce, hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Imposition of Duties (Iron and Steel Products) Order, 1971.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of January, 1972.

3. The Imposition of Duties (Iron and Steel Products) Order, 1968 ( S.I. No. 144 of 1968 ), is hereby amended by the substitution for paragraph 4 of the following:

"4. The duty of customs imposed by paragraph 5 of and mentioned in the Schedule to the Principal Order at tariff heading number 73.13 (B) (1) (b) shall not be charged or levied".

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order provides for the termination of the suspension of the duty on certain iron and steel products.
