I JOHN FAHEY, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 2 of the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 , (No. 18 of 1947), and the Fisheries (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1965 ( S.I. No. 83 of 1965 ) (as adapted by the Agriculture (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1965 ( S.I. No. 146 of 1965 )), and the Fisheries (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order, 1970 ( S.I. No. 123 of 1970 ), hereby order as follows: |

1. This' Order may be cited as the Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Order, 1971. |
||
2. This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of April, 1972. |
||
3. The export of-- |
||
(a) frozen fillets of cod, haddock and whiting; |
||
(b) frozen fillets of sole, plaice, lemon sole, dabs, megrims, brill and turbot; |
||
(c) frozen fish stick blocks; |
||
(d) frozen pre-cooked crumbed fish fillets (skin-on); |
||
(e) frozen Dublin Bay prawn (Nephrops Norvegicus) tail meats, and |
||
(f) frozen kippers and kipper fillets, |
||
save under and in accordance with a license in that behalf issued under the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 (No. 18 of 1947), is hereby prohibited. |
||
4. This Order shall not apply to frozen fillets of cod, haddock, whiting, sole, plaice, lemon sole, dabs, megrims, brill and turbot which have been smoked. |
||

EXPLANATORY NOTE |
||
This Order prohibits, except under license, the export of certain frozen fishery products. |
