S.I. No. 250/1971:

PROHIBITION OF FORCIBLE ENTRY AND OCCUPATION ACT 1971 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1971.

PROHIBITION OF FORCIBLE ENTRY AND OCCUPATION ACT 1971 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1971.

I, DESMOND O'MALLEY, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the power conferred on me by section 10 of the Prohibition of Forcible Entry and Occupation Act, 1971 (No. 25 of 1971), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Prohibition of Forcible Entry and Occupation Act, 1971 (Commencement) Order, 1971.

2. The 6th day of September, 1971, is hereby appointed as the day on which the Prohibition of Forcible Entry and Occupation Act, 1971 (No. 25 of 1971), shall come into operation.

GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 1st day of September, 1971.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to bring the Prohibition of Forcible Entry and Occupation Act, 1971 , into operation on 6th September, 1971.
