SOLICITORS ACT, 1954 (FEES) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1970. |

By virtue and in pursuance of Sections 4 , 5 , 79 and 82 of the Solicitors Act 1954 and of every other power in that behalf the Incorporated Law Society of Ireland hereby make the following Regulations:-- |

1. These Regulations shall be read together with the Solicitors Act 1954 (Fees) Regulations 1968 ( S.I. No. 240 of 1968 ) (hereinafter called "the Principal Regulations") and shall insofar as they are inconsistent therewith alter and amend the same. |
||
2. The sum of £10 is hereby added to each of the sums in items 1 and 2 of the Schedule to the Principal Regulations and the said Schedule is hereby amended accordingly. |
||
3. These Regulations and the Principal Regulations may be cited as the Solicitors Act 1954 (Fees) Regulations 1968 and 1970. |
||
4. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 22nd day of October, 1970. |
||

EXPLANATORY NOTE. |
||
The fee payable by a solicitor on taking out a practising certificate is raised from £11 to £21 in the case of a solicitor practising in Dublin and from £8 to £18 in the case of a solicitor practising elsewhere. |
