I, PATRICK JOSEPH LALOR, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections I and II of the Post Office Savings Bank Act, 1861, and the Posts and Telegraphs (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order, 1967 ( S.I. No. 158 of 1967 ), with the consent of the Minister for Finance, hereby make the following regulations : |

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Post Office Savings Bank Regulations, 1921 (Amendment) Regulations, 1969. |
||
(2) These Regulations shall come into operation on the 28th day of April, 1969. |
||
2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to these Regulations. |
||
3. (1) The Post Office Savings Bank Regulations, 1921, shall be amended as follows : |
||
(a) in Regulation 45, as amended by Regulation 2 (a) of the Regulations of 1958, " £30 " is hereby substituted for " £10 ", and |
||
(b) in Regulation 47, as amended by Regulation 2 (b) of the Regulations of 1958, " £100 " is hereby substituted for " Twenty-five pounds ". |
||
(2) In this Regulation " the Regulations of 1958 " means the Post Office Savings Bank Regulations, 1921 (Amendment) Regulations, 1958 ( S.I. No. 91 of 1958 ). |

EXPLANATORY NOTE. |
||
These Regulations increase the amount which may be withdrawn on demand from £10 to £30 and the amount which may be withdrawn by telegraphic advice from £25 to £100. |
