BORD NA MÓNA (WAIVER OF INTEREST AND DEFERMENT OF REPAYMENT OF ADVANCES) ORDER, 1968.

BORD NA MÓNA (WAIVER OF INTEREST AND DEFERMENT OF REPAYMENT OF ADVANCES) ORDER, 1968.

I, JOHN LYNCH, Acting Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 2 and 3 of the Turf Development Act, 1968 (No. 28 of 1968), and after consultation with the Minister for Transport and Power in respect of the years commenced on the 1st day of April, 1967, and the 1st day of April, 1968, respectively, hereby order as follows :

1. This Order may be cited as the Bord na Móna (Waiver of Interest and Deferment of Repayment of Advances) Order, 1968.

2. All the interest due by Bord na Móna in the years commenced on the 1st day of April, 1967, and the 1st day of April, 1968, respectively, on the sums advanced to Bord na Móna under section 53 of the Turf Development Act, 1946 (No. 10 of 1946), is hereby waived.

3. The deferment by Bord na Móna until the 31st of March, 1969, of payment of all the moneys due by Bord na Móna in repayment of sums advanced to Bord na Móna under the said section 53 is hereby permitted.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The purpose of this Order is to defer repayment by Bord na Móna of certain moneys advanced by the Exchequer and to waive the interest due to the Exchequer thereon.
