MERCHANT SHIPPING (RECOGNITION OF MISCELLANEOUS FOREIGN CERTIFICATES OF COMPETENCY) ORDER, 1957 (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1968. |

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 7 of the Merchant Shipping Act, 1947 (No. 46 of 1947), hereby make the following order : |
||
1. This Order may be cited as the Merchant Shipping (Recognition of Miscellaneous Foreign Certificates of Competency) Order, 1957 (Amendment) Order, 1968. |
||
2. The Merchant Shipping (Recognition of Miscellaneous Foreign Certificates of Competency) Order, 1957 ( S.I. No. 223 of 1957 ), shall be construed and have effect as if the reference to South Africa in the recitals thereto were deleted. |
||

EXPLANATORY NOTE. |
||
This Order withdraws the recognition which was given in 1957, on a reciprocal basis, to certain types of seamen's certificates of competency issued by South Africa. |
