S.I. No. 149/1968:

FOOT AND MOUTH DISEASE (IMPORTATION OF ANIMALS) ORDER (REVOCATION) ORDER, 1968.

FOOT AND MOUTH DISEASE (IMPORTATION OF ANIMALS) ORDER (REVOCATION) ORDER, 1968.

I, NEIL T. BLANEY, Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 (No. 6 of 1966), hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Foot and Mouth Disease (Importation of Animals) Order (Revocation) Order, 1968.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 6th day of July, 1968.

2. The Foot and Mouth Disease (Importation of Animals) Order, 1967 ( S.I. No. 235 of 1967 ), is hereby revoked.

GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 3rd day of July, 1968.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to remove the temporary controls on the importation of all four-footed animals from Great Britain, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and the Continent of Europe, imposed as a precaution against the introduction of foot and mouth disease.
