DAIRY PRODUCE (PRICE STABILISATION) ACT, 1935 (SECTIONS 24 AND 29) (SUSPENDING) ORDER, 1966.

DAIRY PRODUCE (PRICE STABILISATION) ACT, 1935 (SECTIONS 24 AND 29) (SUSPENDING) ORDER, 1966.

I, CHARLES J. HAUGHEY, Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 2 (2) of the Dairy Produce (Price Stabilisation) (Amendment) Act, 1938 (No. 30 of 1938), and section 58 (3) of the Dairy Produce Marketing Act, 1961 (No. 1 of 1961), as adapted by the Agriculture (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1965 ( S.I. No. 146 of 1965 ), hereby order as follows :

1. This Order may be cited as the Dairy Produce (Price Stabilisation) Act, 1935 (Sections 24 and 29) (Suspending) Order, 1966.

2. The provisions of sections 24 and 29 of the Dairy Produce (Price Stabilisation) Act, 1935 (No. 21 of 1935), shall cease to be in force as on and from the 1st day of July, 1966.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to suspend as from 1st July, 1966, the provisions of the Dairy Produce (Price Stabilisation) Act, 1935 , which relate to the prohibition save under licence of the import of butter, cheese and dried or powdered milk. That prohibition has been re-imposed by a new Order made under the Dairy Produce Marketing Act, 1961 .
