CONTROL OF IMPORTS (QUOTA No. 50) (SUPERPHOSPHATES) (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1966.

CONTROL OF IMPORTS (QUOTA No. 50) (SUPERPHOSPHATES) (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1966.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 11 of the Control of Imports Act, 1934 (No. 12 of 1934), and section 3 of the Control of Imports (Amendment) Act, 1963 (No. 13 of 1963), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Control of Imports (Quota No. 50) (Superphosphates) (Amendment) Order, 1966.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of July, 1966.

3. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

4. The prohibition on the importation of superphosphates effected by paragraph 3 of the Control of Imports (Quota No. 50) (Superphosphates) Order, 1959 ( S.I. No. 129 of 1959 ), shall not extend or apply to goods which are shown to the satisfaction of the Revenue Commissioners to have been manufactured or produced in the United Kingdom and consigned to the importer from that country.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Instrument is to confine the scope of the Quota to superphosphates other than those manufactured or produced in the United Kingdom and consigned to the importer from that country.
