S.I. No. 148/1965:

IMPORTATION OF MEAT AND ANIMAL PRODUCTS (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1965.

IMPORTATION OF MEAT AND ANIMAL PRODUCTS (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1965.

I, CHARLES J. HAUGHEY, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 22 and 49 of the Diseases of Animals Act, 1894, and section 4 of the Agriculture Act, 1931 (No. 8 of 1931), hereby order as follows :--

1.--(1) This Order may be cited as the Importation of Meat and Animal Products (Amendment) Order, 1965.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of August 1965.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. The Importation of Meat and Animal Products (Amendment) Order, 1964 ( S.I. No. 197 of 1964 ), is hereby revoked and, accordingly, the countries mentioned in the First Schedule to the Importation of Meat and Animal Products Order, 1963 ( S.I. No. 186 of 1963 ), shall include France.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to restore France to the list of countries mentioned in the First Schedule to the Importation of Meat and Animal Products Order, 1963.
