S.I. No. 226/1964:

VOCATIONAL EDUCATION COMMITTEES (ALLOWANCES TO MEMBERS) (AMENDMENT) RULES, 1964.

VOCATIONAL EDUCATION COMMITTEES (ALLOWANCES TO MEMBERS) (AMENDMENT) RULES, 1964.

I, PATRICK J. HILLERY, Minister for Education, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (4) of section 6 of the Vocational Education (Amendment) Act, 1947 (No. 1 of 1947), as amended by section 5 of the Vocational Education (Amendment) Act, 1962 (No. 28 of 1962), hereby make the following Rules :

1. These Rules may be cited as the Vocational Education Committees (Allowances to Members) (Amendment) Rules, 1964.

2. The Vocational Education Committees (Allowances to Members) Rules, 1963 ( S.I. No. 114 of 1963 ), are hereby amended by--

(a) the substitution of " fifteen shillings " for " four shillings and sixpence " in paragraph (a) of Rule 3,

(b) the substitution of " twenty-five shillings " for " seven shillings " in paragraph (b) of the said Rule 3, and

(c) the substitution of " twenty shillings " for " thirteen shillings and sixpence " in Rule 4.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These rules govern the payment of allowances to members of county vocational education committees and of approved sub-committees of such county committees in respect of their attendance at meetings of the county committees or approved sub-committees.
