S.I. No. 134/1964:

RETURNING OFFICERS' (BOROUGH AND COUNTY CONSTITUENCIES) CHARGES ORDER, 1964.

RETURNING OFFICERS' (BOROUGH AND COUNTY CONSTITUENCIES) CHARGES ORDER, 1964.

I, SÉAMAS Ó RIAIN, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (5) of section 25 of the Electoral Act, 1923 (No. 12 of 1923), hereby order as follows:

1.--(1) This Order may be cited as the Returning Officers' (Borough and County Constituencies) Charges Order, 1964.

(2) The Returning Officers' (Borough and County Constituencies) Charges Orders, 1937 to 1961, and this Order may be cited as the Returning Officers' (Borough and County Constituencies) Charges Orders, 1937 to 1964.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. The Returning Officers' (Borough and County Constituencies) Bye-Election Charges Order, 1938 ( S. R. & O. No. 142 of 1938 ), is hereby amended by the substitution in subparagraph (iv) of the Schedule for "£42 " and "12s." (inserted by the Returning Officers' (Borough and County Constituencies) Bye-Election Charges Order, 1952 ( S.I. No. 275 of 1952 ) ) of "£84" and "£1 4s. 0d." respectively.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order increases disbursements in respect of the counting of votes at Dáil bye-elections.
