S.I. No. 8/1964:

ROAD VEHICLES (INDEX MARKS) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1964.

ROAD VEHICLES (INDEX MARKS) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1964.

The Minister for Local Government in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 12 of the Roads Act, 1920, hereby makes the following Regulations :--

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Road Vehicles (Index Marks) (Amendment) Regulations, 1964.

2. The Schedule to the Road Vehicles (Index Marks) Regulations, 1958 ( S.I. No. 14 of 1958 ) shall be amended by the insertion in the second column of the said Schedule of the following index marks :--

(a) AZH, BZH, CZH, DZH, EZH, FZH, GZH, HZH, IZH, JZH, KZH, LZH, MZH, NZH, OZH, PZH, RZH, SZH, TZH, UZH, VZH, WZH, XZH, and YZH opposite the Council of the County of Dublin and the Right Honourable the Lord Mayor, Aldermen and Burgesses of Dublin ;

(b) KPI, LPI, MPI, NPI, OPI, PPI, RPI, SPI, TPI, UPI, VPI, WPI, XPI, YPI, and ZPI opposite the Lord Mayor, Aldermen and Burgesses of Cork ;

(c) AIC, BIC, CIC, DIC, EIC, FIC, GIC, HIC, IIC, JIC, KIC and LIC opposite the Council of the County of Carlow ;

(d) AIY, BIY, CIY, DIY, EIY, FIY, GIY, HIY, IIY, JIY, KIY and LIY opposite the Council of the County of Louth.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations prescribe additional index marks for motor vehicles registered by Dublin County Council and Dublin Corporation and by Cork Corporation, Carlow County Council and Louth County Council.
