S.I. No. 217/1961:

COURTS (ESTABLISHMENT AND CONSTITUTION) ACT, 1961 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1961.

COURTS (ESTABLISHMENT AND CONSTITUTION) ACT, 1961 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1961.

The Government, in exercise of the power conferred on them by subsection (2) of section 8 of the Courts (Establishment and Constitution) Act, 1961 (No. 39 of 1961), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Courts (Establishment and Constitution) Act, 1961 (Commencement) Order, 1961.

2. The Courts (Establishment and Constitution) Act, 1961 (No. 39 of 1961), shall come into operation on the 29th day o£ September, 1961.

GIVEN under the Official Seal of the Government, this 29th day of September, 1961.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This order fixes the date on which the Courts (Establishment and Constitution) Act, 1961 comes into operation.
