FISHERIES (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1958 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1958. |

I, ERSKINE H. CHILDERS, Minister for Lands, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (3) of section 2 of the Fisheries (Amendment) Act, 1958 (No. 15 of 1958), hereby order as follows :-- |
||
1. This Order may be, cited as the Fisheries (Amendment Act, 1958 (Commencement) Order, 1958. |
||
2. In this Order, the expression " the Act " means the Fisheries (Amendment) Act, 1958 (No. 15 of 1958). |
||
3. The 17th day of November, 1958, is hereby fixed as the day on which sections 24, 28, 29 and 30 of the Act shall come into operation. |
||
4. The 1st day of January, 1959, is hereby fixed as the day on which section 23 of the act shall come into operation. |
||

EXPLANATORY NOTE. |
||
This Order provides that :-- |
||
(1) As from 17th November, 1958, persons fishing for oysters must, under penalty, hold a licence issued by the board of conservators for the area |
||
and |
||
(2) As from 1st January, 1959, persons dealing in or exporting rainbow trout are required to be licensed under the Fisheries Acts. |
||
