S.I. No. 167/1957:

PENSIONS (INCREASE) (GALWAY HARBOUR COMMISSIONERS) REGULATIONS, 1957.

PENSIONS (INCREASE) (GALWAY HARBOUR COMMISSIONERS) REGULATIONS, 1957.

I, SEÁN F. LEMASS, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 6 of the Pensions (Increase) Act, 1956 (No. 44 of 1956), hereby make the following regulations :--

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Pensions (Increase) (Galway Harbour Commissioners) Regulations, 1957.

2. In these Regulations--

" the Act " means the Pensions (Increase) Act, 1956 (No. 44 of 1956) ;

" the appropriate sum " has the meaning given to it in the Act ;

" the harbour authority " means the Galway Harbour Commissioners ;

" Pension " means a pension or allowance specified in Part IV of the Schedule to the Act.

3. The increase in pension which may be granted by the harbour authority under the Act shall not exceed the appropriate sum.

Explanatory Note.

These Regulations authorise the Galway Harbour Commissioners to increase certain Superannuation allowances payable by them.
