S.I. No. 20/1956:

CORK PRISON CLOSING ORDER, 1956.

CORK PRISON CLOSING ORDER, 1956.

I, JAMES EVERETT, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the power conferred on me by subsection (1) of section 2 of the Prisons Act, 1933 (No. 51 of 1933), hereby order as follows :

1. This Order may be cited as the Cork Prison Closing Order, 1956.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. The prison at Cork in the County Borough of Cork shall be closed on and from the 1st day of April, 1956.

GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 21st day of February, 1956.
