S.I. No. 216/1955:

RED CROSS ACT, 1954 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1955.

RED CROSS ACT, 1954 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1955.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 1 of the Red Cross Act, 1954 (No. 28 of 1954), hereby order as follows :

1. This Order may be cited as the Red Cross Act, 1954 (Commencement) Order, 1955.

2. The 11th day of December, 1955, is hereby appointed as the day on which the Red Cross Act, 1954 (No. 28 of 1954), shall come into operation.

GIVEN under the Official Seal of the Government, this 11th day of November, 1955.
