CONTROL OF IMPORTS (QUOTA No. 13) (WOVEN WOOLLEN AND SYNTHETIC AND ARTIFICIAL FABRICS) (AMENDMENT) (No. 2) ORDER, 1955.

CONTROL OF IMPORTS (QUOTA No. 13) (WOVEN WOOLLEN AND SYNTHETIC AND ARTIFICIAL FABRICS) (AMENDMENT) (No. 2) ORDER, 1955.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by the Control of Imports Acts, 1934 and 1937, and of every and any other power them in this behalf enabling, hereby order as follows :

1.--(1) This Order may be cited as the Control of Imports (Quota No. 13) (Woven Woollen and Synthetic and Artificial Fabrics) (Amendment) (No. 2) Order, 1955.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 9th day of June, 1955.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. Part II of the Schedule (inserted by the Control of Imports (Quota No. 13) (Woven Woollen and Synthetic and Artificial Fabrics) (Amendment) Order, 1954 ( S.I. No. 227 of 1954 ) ) to the Control of Imports (Quota No. 13) Order, 1935 ( S. R. & O. No. 59 of 1935 ), is hereby amended by the deletion in subparagraph (i) of paragraph (1) of " printed or painted fabrics " and the substitution therefor of " fabrics with a bona fide design or pattern permanently printed or painted thereon which is visible on both surfaces of the fabric."
